Mandy Day is in charge of 200 global talent acquisition team members at The Cigna Group. Last year alone the health insurance giant hired about 24,000 people, half of which were external hires and the other half internal hires.

With more than 74,000 people working at Cigna, Day and her team recognize the massive potential of their employees — investing in their development and career development throughout the company has become a critical strategy for both hiring and retaining talent. Internal mobility is easier now that the company has a talent ecosystem where employees can try new roles outside of their swim lane.
